Perry Noble is the pastor of NewSpring Church in South Carolina. I regularly read his blog and always come away challenged. He’s currently doing a sermon series on core values of the church and made a statement in his blog that I can’t stop rolling around in my head.
Found people find people.
Simple. Profound. Startling.
As we prepare to start a new missional emphasis and a new evangelism team, I think about that little phrase. Found people find people.
Have we been truly “found” by Jesus? If we have, why do we go into hiding and keep our faith to ourselves? Why do we take the resurrection of Jesus and put it to the recesses of our minds and lives bringing it out only on Sundays around 10 in the morning.
Found people find people.
Let that phrase roll around in your head for a little while, and you’ll start seeing the life of Jesus beginning to poke through the places we like to hide.
